Supporting Young Children's Behavior: The Hourglass Model Webinar
Attendees will learn about the model, the Reflective Circle, how to use the Behavioral Chart and create the Behavioral Map, and how to utilize BEFRIEND strategies to regulate young children's strong emotions and behaviors. In addition, you'll learn about how the Hourglass model is used in the Positive Behavioral Supports class at San Diego State University to prepare interventionists, preschool teachers and others to interact with children ages birth to five.

The goals of this webinar series are to bring attention to practices, trainings and programs rooted in the concepts and knowledge areas of the California Competencies documents including the Early Childhood Educator Competencies, the Revised Guidelines for Infant Family and Early Childhood Mental Health, and the Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC) Recommended Early Start Personnel Manual and inspire others to develop similar practices, programs or trainings to make them more accessible to others throughout the state.
