Course Description:
Obesity Prevention during the Well Child Visit
- Pediatric healthcare providers will implement division of responsibility based feeding guidance during the well child visit;
- Pediatric healthcare providers will differentiate guidance that supports child autonomy from pressure-to-eat and restrictive feeding practices;
- Pediatric healthcare providers will implement referral strategies to the 5 Keys to Raising a Healthy Happy Eater Class to support early intervention of feeding problems and obesity prevention.
- This presentation is approved starting January 1, 2014 and ending December 31, 2016. To receive a CME certificate, you must complete the evaluation and post-test. Participants who answer 2/4 questions correctly will receive CME. CME certificates will be mailed quarterly to applicants satisfying the stated criteria.
