Exploring Science "Make & Take"
Participants will learn how to adapt practical strategies and activities to support science for preschoolers with and without disabilities.
Participants will learn how to:
Learn that exploring science supports critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, communication skills and social skills.
Understand how every day experiences provide young children many opportunities to ask questions, make sense of what they observe and build an understanding of the world around them.
Learn how to adapt simple science activities for all children, including children with disabilities.
Make 3 activities to support science with preschoolers, adapted for different abilities. May include song, visual supports, and hands-on science experiment.
Target Audience: Preschool to 3rd Grade - Teachers and staff who work with young children, family childcare providers, and parents.
