Course Description:

Connecting Literacy and Social Emotional Development in Young Children

Colorful picture books and lively stories are a good way to engage young children, and help them build reading skills, recognize social cues and develop appropriate responses in social and group settings. In this webinar, a special education expert will share her methodology and experience in promoting literacy and social emotional development using children’s books and storytelling.

Dr. Yates is an expert in early childhood professional development for over 30 years, specializing in caregiver-child interactions, promoting social emotional, language, and literacy development and effective professional development delivery practice.

This event is sponsored by the First 5 grant of Santa Clara county.
