The Art and Science of Father Engagement Programming
This interactive presentation will review the current state of research and practice in programmatic efforts to engage new and expectant fathers during the perinatal period.
Learners will review and discuss:
- Common barriers to involving fathers in perinatal health initiatives
- Evidence-based best practices in developing father engagement programs
- Key metrics in assessing father engagement program effectiveness
Who should attend: Staff and leadership of family resource centers, child abuse prevention councils, community-based organizations and other child- and family-serving systems who are engaged in developing father engagement programs and assessing their effectiveness.
This is an interactive training. Please be prepared to participate in activities such as group discussion, break out rooms, and/or demonstration. Your training experience will be best with the use of a web cam, audio, and a training environment conducive to active participation.
