Course Description:

Applying A Developmental-Relational Framework to Building Children’s Early Emotional Health

How do children cope with traumatic experiences? A traumatic response might appear in the way children behave with their peers or as they transition from one activity to another. Professionals who work with children can learn to recognize and be sensitive to the various ways that children respond to trauma. These might include behavioral challenges, or sadness and withdrawal. In this webinar, you will learn how to partner with families and caregivers to support children’s healing and the building of resilience.

In this session, participants will:

  • Understand the ways children might process a traumatic experience through their behavior
  • Consider ways to support children’s optimal development through partnerships with their families and caregivers
