Course Description:
Understanding the Historical Context of Structural Racism and Current Day Implications: How we got here and a Better Path Forward
This session will introduce participants to our core concepts related to race/ethnic equity and inclusion issues. In addition, Burns Institute will provide participants with a historical perspective regarding the impact of structural racism on the development of human services work. Finally, participants will gain a deeper understanding of what we need to consider to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities within systems.
