Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence–based model designed to treat posttraumatic stress and related emotional and behavioral problems in children and adolescents. TF-CBT is designed for use by Master’s level therapists, who provide parallel sessions with children and their parents or guardians. Research indicates that children experience a reduction in symptoms associated with trauma upon completion of the program.
