Social and emotional competence means having social skills, and being able to talk about and handle feelings.  Join us as we explore the stages of emotional development of children and learn strategies to help children to talk about and handle their feelings.

Learners will:
1. Define the characteristics and skills related to social and emotional competence.
2. Identify everyday actions that support social and emotional competence.
3. Participate in activities that demonstrate social and emotional competence.
4. Make a plan to incorporate this knowledge into your life and work.

Additional Information:

1. This session will be recorded. A link will be available to registered learners within two days of the webinar.
2. Why do we ask "Knowledge Check" questions during registration? These questions help us to obtain information about our    learners' knowledge of a topic prior to training and the effectiveness of the training (participants will be asked the same    questions  at the end of the training). The answers you provide will not impact your registration.

Target audience: All staff of family resource center (FRCs), child abuse prevention councils (CAPCs), and other family-serving organizations.
