Triple P Level 5 Family Transitions Training (2-days)
Provided in partnership with County Mental Health Department
Family Transitions Triple P is a family intervention designed to be delivered to parents who are experiencing personal distress from separation or divorce, which is impacting on, or complicating, the task of parenting.
Practitioners successfully completing this training will have enhanced knowledge and skills in the following areas:
• Assessment of personal adjustment in parents following divorce
• Specific strategies for improving personal coping skills and reducing parenting stress anxiety, anger and depression
• Specific strategies for reducing conflict between parents and improving communication
• Strategies for promoting work, family, play balance and gaining appropriate social support
• Helping parents develop independent problem solving skills
Target Audience: FIRST 5/Mental Health Dept. funed Home Visitors and Therapeutic Service providers working with court families and their direct supervisors who have been trained in Triple P Level 4 Group or Standard
2 Day Training: June 27 -28, 2012
Registrants need to be FIRST 5/MHD funded partners and also have had been trained on any Triple P Level 4 prior to registration.
