Course Description:

The Ripple Effect Part Two: Integrating Core Trauma Concepts into Practice

Overview: This workshop is for practitioners who have already attended an introductory workshop on the Ripple Effect: An integrative framework for enhancing trauma-informed practice. The framework was developed by Chandra Ghosh Ippen, Christopher Layne, and Bob Pynoos of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) and is adapted from core trauma concepts identified and ratified by the NCTSN Core Curriculum on Childhood Trauma Task Force.
This advanced workshop first presents a brief overview of the framework with a discussion of how participants have been integrating these concepts into their work since the original workshop.  The remainder of the workshop uses rich clinical vignettes to examine how our provider roles may shape our response to a family and to think about various ways to integrate a trauma-informed perspective into daily practice.
Presenter: Dr. Chandra Ghosh Ippen
