Course Description:

Developing the One-Page Child Profile

Very young children as well as others with behavioral support needs are especially at risk of being misunderstood. Come learn how to develop a one-page profile that captures what is important to and for the child to help their caregivers, care providers and teachers best support their individual needs. Please come to the session with a child in mind as you will have an opportunity to draft a profile for him/her. With consistent use and updating of this personalized profile, you will experience a reduction in the child’s behavioral issues. The profile later can be developed further to become a more detailed person-centered tool. The goal of this training is to provide FIRST 5 partners with information, tools and strategies to ensure you feel more comfortable and confident in supporting families with children with various types of special needs. You are highly encouraged to bring your questions as we wish to address your most pressing needs and concerns and make this session as interactive as possible.

Additional Information:

Professionals outside the FIRST 5 network as well as parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Registration: Please email melissak@php.com or call (408) 727-5775, ext. 136, noting your name, phone number, job title and organization as well as the date of this training
